It looks like izakaya “Daichi”, located on the 1st floor of “ARPA Ashiya” along Ekimae-dori near JR Ashiya Station, will be renovated and reopened around March as “SUSHI KITCHEN DAICHI (tentative)”.

↑ It appeared to have temporarily closed and was undergoing renovation work.
Apparently, it will be renewed as a restaurant serving casual sushi and izakaya menu items. We’re looking forward to it!

↑ If you go the other way east, you’ll find French izakaya “Cuvee Couleur”, casual French restaurant “La brasserie,” bakery “BAKE STAND”, and then you’ll reach the front of JR Ashiya Station.

Finally
Looking at the exterior rendering shown in the job listing, there’s a prominent takeout window, so it looks like they may be putting effort into takeout menu items too!
It’ll be great to have a place near the station where you can casually enjoy sushi!
