Chuo Contact La Porte Ashiya, a contact lens specialty store on the second floor of the La Porte Main Building, a shopping mall directly connected to JR Ashiya Station, closed on February 6.

Following the closure, the store appears to have been merged into Chuo Contact Mont et Mer Ashiya, located on the fourth floor of the Mont et Mer shopping mall across the street. It’s so close by that customers won’t have far to go!

↑ It was next to the escalator, between the women’s fashion store Light & Shade and the handicraft store Maruju.
↓ The neighboring Light & Shade also closed on February 15.
With two adjacent units now vacant, perhaps a new store will move into both spaces? We’re curious to see what happens next.
