It looks like a Christmas light-up and lantern-floating event will be held on Sunday, December 12, on the east side of Ashiya City Shinsui Chuo Park (west of the International Exchange Center)〜

The event is organized by the “親水公園ファン倶楽部,” co-sponsored by the neighborhood associations of Ashiya Kaigan-dori and Block 1 of Minamihama-cho, with support from Ashiya City.
The lantern floating will take place from 16:00 to 17:00, followed by the lighting ceremony from 17:00. (The event will be held in light rain.)

It seems this is held every year as a local Christmas event! I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of light-up display they’ll have this year!
