It seems they’re planning a pre-opening on Thursday, May 20, and a grand opening on Tuesday, June 1, but…
As of May 8, the exterior still looked very much under construction…? Will they make it in time? The suspense…

If you head this way, toward the mountains, you’ll reach Yamate Kansen.
If you go the opposite way, toward the sea, you’ll find the wood-fired pizza restaurant “Viola（ヴィオラ）,” which opened next door on May 8. Further along on the corner is the cute sweets shop “Licorne(リコルヌ),” which sells macarons and other treats.
Across Ekimae-dori Street is La Mall Ashiya.
In Closing
There are already quite a few fitness gyms and personal gyms around JR Ashiya Station and along Route 2, and it seems there’s also a personal diet gym called “Reborn Myself Ashiya” about a 2-minute walk away. It may be an area with strong demand, but the competition also looks pretty intense…!
Honestly, I’m so curious whether the construction will really be finished in time that I’ll probably end up checking on it every time I’m nearby!
