Due to renovation work on the restrooms inside the ticket gates at JR Ashiya Station, temporary restrooms outside the ticket gates have been set up since November 15.
The entrance definitely has that temporary setup feel!
↑The available hours (5:00–24:30) and a layout map are posted at the entrance.
When you step inside, it still feels temporary, but the toilets are new, clean Western-style toilets!
There are also bag hooks and toilet seat disinfectant cleaner inside the stalls, and the handwashing area has automatic faucets, so you don’t have to worry about touching anything. It felt very reassuring!

It looks like the temporary restrooms outside the ticket gates will be in use until around spring 2023. Please note that the restrooms inside the ticket gates are closed due to renovation work!
