Do you know “GYOZA OHSHO” near Hanshin Ashiya Station?
It’s not just your usual “Gyoza no Ohsho.” It’s “GYOZA OHSHO.”

The logo is in English and monochrome, and even the exterior feels kind of sleek and stylish…!
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 10-14 Kokocho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

It doesn’t feel out of place at all sharing a building with the upscale supermarket “Pantry,” or having “Roggen Meyer” just across the street!
So this is what “Gyoza no Ohsho” looks like when it opens in Ashiya: surprisingly stylish.

“GYOZA OHSHO” is a new-concept branch of “Gyoza no Ohsho,” and it apparently offers a relaxing, bar-style space with dishes that are gentle on the body and satisfying to the heart.
Besides the Hanshin Ashiya branch, there are apparently six locations nationwide, including Karasuma Oike in Kyoto and Yurakucho in Tokyo.
This is the only one in the Hanshin area!
We Tried Takeout: “Shanghai Yakisoba” and “Gyoza”

We actually got two items for takeout from “GYOZA OHSHO”!

“Shanghai Yakisoba” 810 yen including tax

Looking at the menu PDF on the official website, it seems to be an original “GYOZA OHSHO” menu item.
It’s packed with vegetables like crisp bean sprouts, komatsuna, wood ear mushrooms, and paprika!
You can smell the vinegar and oyster sauce.

The shrimp are big and plump, which is definitely a plus.

“Gyoza” 237 yen including tax for one serving of 6 pieces

The appetizing aroma of garlic and ginger, the thin skin that’s crisp yet still pleasantly chewy, the filling packed with crunchy vegetables… w-wait a second…!
It’s the same Ohsho gyoza we all know…!

Final Thoughts
The storefront is very stylish and sleek, but you can still enjoy the same familiar “Gyoza no Ohsho” gyoza you’d find at their other locations.
Since this is the only “Gyoza no Ohsho” location in Ashiya City, if you ever find yourself thinking, “I want Ohsho gyoza in Ashiya!” then this is definitely the place to go.
