We tried takeout lunch from the Western-style restaurant “London”, located near Hanshin Ashiya Station, behind Henri Charpentier!

“London Lunch” 800 yen (tax included)

It’s packed full of Western-style side dishes!

First up, the pork steak! The meat is on the thinner side, but that makes it easy to eat and just right.

There were two pieces of fried shrimp!

And an omelet! I thought it might be fully cooked, but…

It was a creamy soft-cooked omelet! What a nice surprise!

And under the thinly sliced ham was Napolitan spaghetti!

There was even fried squid! Since it’s the menu item named after the restaurant, it really does come with a generous variety.
Every side dish had a gentle, nostalgic flavor, and it made me think, “No wonder this Western-style restaurant has been around for so many years!”
