Starting August 1, libraries in Ashiya City have launched the “Ashiya City Digital Library” service.

The “Ashiya City Digital Library” is an online library service where you can borrow and return books using an internet-connected computer, tablet, or smartphone, and read e-books.
It’s a super convenient service that’s free, requires no library visit, and is available 24 hours a day! Perfect for this year’s scorching summer vacation too.

The digital library is available to “people who live, work, or study in Ashiya City and have a library card.”
Those who work or study in the city need to apply at the library counter, but residents of Ashiya City who already had a library card by July 31 can use the service without applying.
