The buildings of Ashiya Municipal Ise Kindergarten, which stood along Rinko Line in Ise-cho, have all been demolished, leaving the site vacant.

The sign for “Ashiya Municipal Ise Kindergarten” was still in place on the stairs that lead directly down from the Rinko Line sidewalk to the site.
Ise Kindergarten closed at the end of March this year, and an integrated center for early childhood education and care is scheduled to open on the same site in April next year.
Area around the former “Ashiya Municipal Ise Kindergarten” site
It’s along Rinko Line, roughly halfway between the Ashiya River and the Miyagawa River.
If you head this way east, you’ll find places like the Ashiya City Museum of Art & History, the Junichiro Tanizaki Memorial Museum, Ashiya City Library, and Ashiya Central Park.
If you head the other way west, you’ll reach Ashiya Park and the area around the mouth of the Ashiya River.
Across the small street that goes north down from Rinko Line, on the west side, is Matsuhama Ryokuchi green space.
In Closing
The new integrated center for early childhood education and care seems to be called “Ise Niji Kodomoen (tentative name).”
