We tried taking out some chicken from Jeil Chicken Ashiya, which opened on July 2 inside the cafe and sweets shop “Licorne” near JR Ashiya Station!
“Original Jeil Chicken” from Jeil Chicken Ashiya

“Original Jeil Chicken” 8 pieces, 1,490 yen (tax included) ※Takeout price

This chicken is known for its crispy, crunchy texture, but since it was raining quite a bit on opening day, it got a little soft on the way home…
Even so, the coating had a slightly chewy texture when softened, which made it kind of like toriten chicken tempura in a good way.
It had a lightly spiced flavor, and next time I’d like to try some of the flavored versions based on this chicken, like yangnyeom!
Menu at Jeil Chicken Ashiya

In addition to “Original Jeil Chicken,” they sell flavored chicken such as “Yangnyeom Chicken,” “Gochu Mayo Chicken,” and “Honey Garlic Butter Chicken,” as well as Korean dishes like cheese dogs, tteokbokki, and gimbap.
