Tanabata decorations are up at Laporte East Building in front of JR Ashiya Station. Pens don’t seem to be provided as an infection prevention measure

Tanabata decorations were on display inside “Laporte East Building,” directly connected to JR Ashiya Station.

↑ These are the Tanabata decorations on the 1st floor, in front of Yamada Denki.

It looks like they will be displayed until Tanabata itself, Wednesday, July 7.

To help prevent infections, no pens are provided. Visitors are asked to take the paper strips home, write their wishes at home or elsewhere, and then bring them back.

Azuma-kun, the character of Laporte East Building, is making a wish too!

Tanabata decorations are also on display on the 2nd floor. These are a bit smaller in scale compared with the ones on the 1st floor.

The bamboo decorations on the 2nd floor are visible from the entrance, so you can head straight over from the station to hang your paper strip!
