Just outside the ticket gates at JR Ashiya Station, the muffin specialty shop “PonPonMuffin (ポンポンマフィン)” is running a limited-time pop-up next to the temporary “Awajiya” bento shop through Thursday, July 1.
Until June 25, the focaccia pizza specialty shop “PIZZA PORT” had a pop-up here.

It appears that the shop has no permanent location and operates exclusively through limited-time pop-ups, mainly in Hyogo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

Ten varieties of muffins were available, including plain, chocolate banana, matcha, orange, tea, and rum raisin.

There were all kinds of muffins on offer, but the rum raisin caught my eye—I wonder how strong the rum flavor is?
First pizza, now muffins—this spot has been on quite a flour-based food streak. What kind of shop will pop up next? We’ll keep an eye on it until the renovations are complete!
