We spotted prepared dishes for sale outside the izakaya “将家” in Uchide Shopping Street near Hanshin Uchide Station, so we decided to pick one up!
“将家” Salt-Grilled Atka Mackerel
Salt-Grilled Atka Mackerel (Small): ¥500 (tax included)
It came vacuum-sealed. Simply cut open one end of the bag and heat it in the microwave!
We heated it in the microwave and served it on a plate! Look at that beautifully browned skin.
The plump, fatty Atka mackerel was seasoned with just the right amount of salt!
It’s perfect as a dinner dish or as something to enjoy with an evening drink.

The restaurant is located on the west side, around the middle of Uchide Shopping Street.
There was a wide selection of fish dishes, including salt-grilled, Saikyo-style grilled, and simmered mackerel, horse mackerel, Spanish mackerel, red sea bream, and more!
Takeout sales appeared to be available only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during the state of emergency, but it looks like you can enjoy an even wider variety of obanzai dishes inside the restaurant!
