A cafe and select shop called “Sanctuary” is probably opening today, June 6, along the Naruo Mikage Line near Miyazuka Park.I say “probably” because the official blog dated 5/11 said it was scheduled to open on 6/6. There haven’t been any blog updates since then, so… we’ll leave it at “probably” “^_^”

Area around “Sanctuary”
It’s along the Naruo Mikage Line (south side). Immediately to the left as you face it is the natural-style restaurant “amasora”.
If you go this way, you’ll find the drum school “Mad Drum Lab,” the hair salon “hair design Lien,” the tacos and taco rice specialty shop “OLL KITCHEN”, and more.
If you go the other way, next door is “amasora,” and beyond that are “Domino’s Pizza Ashiya Miyazukacho,” the select shop “Utsubo Stock Ashiya,” and others.
Across the street is the hugely popular bakery “Bäckerei Biobrot,” which always seems to sell out. You can see Miyazuka Park diagonally across to the right.

When I happened to pass by, a craftsperson was just hand-painting the sign.
The person doing the lettering was “Signs Shu” from Kaizuka City, Osaka!

At the cafe, it looks like you’ll be able to enjoy soft-serve ice cream made with a soft-serve freezer from Carpigiani, a company headquartered in Bologna, Italy. I’m excited to see what it tastes like!
In closing
It feels like more and more stylish shops are popping up around Miyazuka Park.
Taking out a drink or soft-serve ice cream from the cafe and enjoying it slowly in Miyazuka Park sounds pretty nice!
