Ashiya Sound Time
This one-day music event is a collaboration between the Ashiya City Museum of Art and History and the neighboring Tanizaki Junichiro Memorial Museum. The program includes choral music, tango, jazz piano, and silent films accompanied by live music, allowing visitors to move between and enjoy both museums.
On the same day, the Tanizaki Junichiro Memorial Museum will extend its opening hours until 6:00 p.m. and hold a “Twilight Museum” event featuring an illuminated Japanese garden.

- 1:30–2:30 p.m. Silent film screening with live accompaniment／Lecture Room, Ashiya City Museum of Art and History. Piano accompaniment by Ryo Torikai. The double feature includes The Immigrant by Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton’s One Week. Limited to 60 people; numbered admission tickets will be distributed at the museum from 11:00 a.m. on the day 🎬
- 3:00–3:40 p.m. Quinteto Kansai Tango Orquesta／Entrance Hall, Ashiya City Museum of Art and History. An authentic Argentine tango quintet from Kansai 💃
- 4:00–4:40 p.m. Jazz piano solo concert by Kosei Yasuda／Lobby Hall, Tanizaki Junichiro Memorial Museum. Limited to 40 people; numbered admission tickets will be distributed at the Tanizaki museum from 2:30 p.m. on the day 🎹

The jazz piano solo concert at the Tanizaki Junichiro Memorial Museum (4:00–4:40 p.m.) is limited to 40 people, with numbered admission tickets distributed at the Tanizaki museum from 2:30 p.m. on the day. Programs in the Entrance Hall are first-come, first-served.
