↑The area where the flower bed used to be in front of the cleaning factory along National Route 2 has also been covered by temporary fencing.

↑A notice for a company called “O.M. PROPERTY” (O.M. Property Co., Ltd.) was posted on the fencing. The company appears to specialize in real estate and renovations.

What’s Around the Former “Tsubosaka Cleaning Factory” Site
↑The large cleaning factory stood on the southeast corner of the intersection of National Route 2 and Chaya Sakura-dori (Chayanomachi-kita Intersection). The words “Tsubosaka Cleaning Factory” used to be displayed prominently on the building, but they have since been removed.
↑Heading this way (east), you’ll find Sakura Osteopathic Clinic, Ashita no Shokupan Ashiya Kobo, Ashiya Ramen-an Main Store, Yakiniku Kutenka, Furin Ramen Ashiya, and more.

A Look at the Former “Tsubosaka Cleaning” Store
↑This is the former “Tsubosaka Cleaning” store immediately south of the factory site. Although the signage and lettering on the glass doors have been removed, the building remains largely unchanged.
↑“Tsubosaka Cleaning” closed on December 20 last year.
Final Thoughts
The cleaning factory closed at the end of last year, and it looks like construction is finally about to begin. It’s sad that we won’t get to see the flower bed that used to be in front of the factory anymore, but we’re curious to find out what will take its place.
