Silver Festival Coming to the Ashiya City Silver Human Resources Center on Route 2 on Sat October 17 with Free Zenzai Sweet Red Bean Soup

It looks like the “Silver Festival 2026” will be held on Saturday, October 17 at “Hatsuratsukan,” the Ashiya City Silver Human Resources Center in Miyazuka-cho along National Route 2. They’ll even be handing out free zenzai (sweet red bean soup) 🍲

Silver Festival 2026

The event will take place throughout the entire Hatsuratsukan building. The Silver Human Resources Center is an organization that helps older adults find rewarding activities and connect with others. Local neighborhood associations and welfare facilities are also reportedly helping out with this event.

Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The bicycle parking area will not be available on the day. To avoid inconveniencing nearby residents, visitors are asked not to come by car, motorcycle, or bicycle.

What will there be?

• Free zenzai (sweet red bean soup), served twice: first at 11:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m. Each serving is limited to 100 people, so be sure to get there early 🍲
• Fun activities including a magic show, balloon art, Go and shogi, and soft goldfish scooping 🎪
• Shopping booths selling produce and local specialties, cookies, Japanese accessories and happi coats, plus a bazaar 🍪
• Hands-on activities including Hawaiian hula, singing, AI and Canva workshops, and help with computers and smartphones 💃
• And plenty of other fun attractions too 🎉
