It looks like “Isshaku Malatang,” a restaurant specializing in malatang, is set to hold its grand opening on Saturday, September 26 near Hanshin Fukae Station!

↑ This sign was posted outside the future location. It appears that the existing restaurant is being renovated and will reopen as a malatang specialty restaurant.

Around “Isshaku Malatang”

↑ The restaurant is on the first floor of a building along the Honjo-Motoyama Route, south of Hanshin Fukae Station. The bar “area” is immediately to its right.

↑ Head this way (north), and Hanshin Fukae Station is just ahead.

↑ Head in the opposite direction (south), and you’ll pass Oohirume Shrine, Fukae Kaikan, and the 7-Eleven Kobe Fukaehonmachi 3-chome store before reaching National Route 43.

↑ Across the street is the fried-chicken specialty shop “Toriki (Tricky) Fukae.”
Final Thoughts
A search doesn’t turn up any other restaurants called “Isshaku Malatang,” so this might be its very first location. Malatang restaurants have been popping up around Kobe’s Motomachi area, but it’s still surprising to see one finally opening all the way out in Fukae!
