At around 10:00 p.m. yesterday, Saturday, August 15, two raccoons were reportedly spotted in Nangu-cho, Ashiya!

Here they are ↓

There were two of them!! Mugi, who sent us the photos, said, “I thought I saw two big cats walking around, but I was surprised to discover they were raccoons.”
Here they are from another angle ↓

They’re quite plump, with nice-looking coats, so they seem pretty well-fed…! We wonder where and what they’ve been eating.
Here’s the location on the map ↓
Nangu-cho is an area near Hanshin Uchide Station, south of National Route 43 and east of the Inariyama Line.
In Closing
Raccoons may look cute, but they apparently have quite aggressive temperaments, so it’s best not to approach them. If you happen to encounter one on the street at night, it’s safest to leave it alone. Everyone, please be careful!
