The address is Mont et Mer Main Building 3F, 1-31 Funado-cho, Ashiya, Hyogo.
What will they be doing?
- Spot the early signs and take preventive action with a frailty check 🩺
- Body composition measurements, including body fat percentage, muscle mass, and bone mass ⚖️
- A bone density test using ultrasound by placing your heel on the device 🦴
- A grip strength test to gauge your overall muscle strength 💪
- A physical therapist will explain your results in detail and offer personalized advice 📝
The measurements are taken barefoot, so visitors are asked to wear socks that are easy to take off and put back on. It also appears that people with pacemakers cannot use the body composition analyzer.
How much does it cost?
It is free (no registration required). If there is a large turnout, numbered tickets will reportedly be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
How to participate
No registration is required. For inquiries, contact the Ashiya City Senior Care Division at TEL: 0797-38-2024.

In Closing
Frailty isn’t an illness, but if left unaddressed, it can make a person more likely to need long-term care. The good news is that it can reportedly be prevented or even reversed, so this could be a great opportunity to check the condition of your bones and muscles. It’s free and no registration is required, so if you’re interested, why not stop by?
