We heard that the patisserie “DESTINATION” in Midorigaokacho was serving shaved ice for a limited time during the summer, so we went to check it out!

DESTINATION’s Limited-Time Summer Shaved Ice
Strawberry Shaved Ice — Eat-in: ¥1,500 (tax included)
The first thing that surprised us when it arrived was its size! It certainly makes an impression!
The ice is generously covered in house-made syrup, letting you fully enjoy the sweet and tangy flavor of the strawberries.
On top is plenty of rich Hokkaido cream and fresh strawberries!
Together, they create a flavor almost like a cake!
Condensed milk is served on the side, and you can choose whether or not to have it.
Add the condensed milk partway through to switch up the flavor as you eat.
It also comes with warm hojicha roasted green tea, so you can warm up if you start to feel chilly.
A word of caution: as you eat, the weight of the cream and fruit on top can cause the mound to collapse!
DESTINATION’s Menu
The shaved ice comes in a smaller takeout size (¥700) and an eat-in size (¥1,500). There are four flavors in total: peach, strawberry, mango, and matcha. We’d love to try the others too!
Of course, you can also enjoy their cakes in the eat-in area!
They also had summery jellies for sale.
There was also a wide variety of assorted baked-goods gift sets.
