We visited “ELLE et MONTAGNE Ashiya Stand,” which opened this March, to try its seasonal “Whole Peach” dessert!
The “Whole Peach” at ELLE et MONTAGNE Ashiya Stand

Seasonal, limited-quantity “Whole Peach”: ¥1,426 (tax included, dine-in price)
Early-summer-only “Homemade Framboise Soda”: ¥641 (tax included, dine-in price)

Just look at that perfectly round shape…! This luxurious specialty dessert is made with one whole peach.

The peach was so beautiful that cutting into it with a knife and fork felt almost nerve-racking—but we worked up the courage and went for it!

Here’s what it looks like inside. It’s filled with custard cream, with a layer of Swiss roll sealing the bottom.

The sweet, juicy flesh of the fresh peach bursts with every bite—it’s irresistible!

Neither the custard nor the Swiss roll is too heavy, so they don’t overpower the peach’s juiciness. If anything, they work together to make the peach taste even richer—exactly what you’d expect from a dessert this special.

The homemade raspberry soda was pleasantly sweet and tart, making it a perfect match for the peach! It was a delightful dessert break.
Menu at ELLE et MONTAGNE Ashiya Stand

For dine-in, you can enjoy coffee, tea, and other drinks that pair well with the desserts. A “Four-Cake Afternoon Tea Set” is also available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Coffee options include dark roast, light roast, café latte, and cappuccino. Apple juice and milk are also available, which is great for children and anyone limiting their caffeine intake.

You can also enjoy the cakes and baked treats sold in the shop at the dine-in area.

Whole cakes are also available when ordered at least three business days in advance.
ELLE et MONTAGNE Ashiya Stand Information

The shop opened this March in the northernmost unit of a large brown building along the Okuyama Seido Line, in the former location of the baked-goods shop and café “Ashiya Tigre.”
Its main shop is in Yamaguchi-cho, Nishinomiya, near Arima Onsen. Desserts from the main shop are reportedly delivered fresh every day and sold at the Ashiya Stand.

Along with individually sold baked treats, the shop offers boxed gift sets, cookie tins, and more.

The dine-in area has only two tables, does not accept reservations, and is limited to 40 minutes during busy periods, so keep that in mind.
