The full-store renovation began last December, with shops from the basement level to the second floor opening or reopening after renovation one by one.

Tea salon and boutique “ダマンリュミエール”

A tea salon and boutique created through a collaboration between the long-established French tea brand 〈ダマンフレール〉 and the popular French restaurant 〈リュミエール〉, led by Chef Yasushi Karato.
The first location is inside Takashimaya Osaka in Namba, Osaka. The Ashiya location will apparently offer more than 60 varieties of tea, along with desserts.
Caviar specialty store “プルニエ”

A long-established caviar house founded in 1872, this will be its first location in the Kansai region.
Its fresh caviar, made using a pure-salt method that uses only salt for seasoning, will reportedly be flown in from France.
Baked-goods specialty store “ちひろ菓子店”

Based in Shinmachi, Osaka, this specialty shop is dedicated to creating “truly delicious baked goods made with carefully selected ingredients.”
It will apparently sell its signature financiers, baumkuchen, and more. The brand also has locations in Tokyo and Kurakuen, Nishinomiya.
Cream puff specialty store “CHIHIRO the CHOUX”

A cream puff specialty store created by 〈ちひろ菓子店〉. This appears to be the first location for this new concept.
Customers can enjoy carefully crafted cream puffs featuring a fragrant cookie choux pastry made with cultured butter, filled with homemade custard cooked fresh every day in a copper pot.
“DEPACO” physical store

A physical store for DEPACO, a beauty information platform and online store operated by Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores Co., Ltd.
The Ashiya location will apparently be DEPACO’s first-ever physical store. Shoppers will be able to compare products from 29 brands in total.

After a long renovation period, Daimaru Ashiya will finally be fully renewed in August! Every one of the stores opening in the final phase sounds really intriguing〜. With tea, sweets, caviar, and cosmetics, it’s quite an upscale lineup that feels perfectly suited to Ashiya.
