A new tonkatsu restaurant, 清水研羊, opened on December 1 along Sakura-dori in Kawanishi-cho, near Hanshin Ashiya Station!

↑ A post from the official 清水研羊 Instagram account. It looks like the restaurant was opened by someone who branched out independently from とんかつ 乃ぐち, which was also popular at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai!

↑ The exterior of 清水研羊. This is where とんかつ 継 used to be.

↑ The restaurant operates by reservation only, and it seems that all reservations through the end of December are already fully booked and no longer being accepted. It certainly is popular!

What’s Around 清水研羊

↑ It’s on the first floor of an apartment building on the west side of Sakura-dori in Kawanishi-cho. The French restaurant LE MACCHAN is immediately to the right.

↑ Head this way (north), and you’ll pass places such as the soba restaurant 芦屋 土山人, ローソン 芦屋川西店, the café carré, the Thai restaurant バーンタイ ASHIYA, and 嘉門芦屋コリアン亭 芦屋本店 before reaching National Route 2.

↑ Head in the opposite direction (south), and you’ll pass 如来寺 before reaching the 青少年センター前 intersection, where the road meets the Naruo–Mikage Line (near the gymnasium and Kawanishi Sports Ground).
