Ashiya City’s public relations magazine, “Koho Ashiya” June 2025 issue, had a feature that looked kind of like something from a fashion magazine〜

↑This month’s Koho Ashiya cover. I’m also curious about Vissel Kobe’s character “Movi” giving chest compressions on the cover, but let’s set that aside for now〜

↑Here’s the two-page spread on pages 2 and 3, right after the cover. In the bottom right, there’s something that looks like a fashion magazine-style “7 Days of Outfit Repeats” section!?

↑And surprisingly, the model is Ashiya Mayor Ryosuke Takashima! He shows off seven different looks using his own pair of jeans〜

↑It includes the situation for each style, plus notes like “taking off the vest changes the impression,” and

↑One-point outfit tips like “you can change the vibe depending on whether you wear a cap or not.” It might even give you some fashion ideas? (Still, the mayor has such a great smile…!)

↑Apparently, this feature was created to help residents think of the often difficult-sounding idea of “carbon neutrality” (the concept of balancing the amount of carbon dioxide emitted with the amount reduced) as something that concerns them personally.
In other words, it seems to be saying that by making use of clothes sitting unused in your drawers or closet and buying fewer new clothes, you can reduce the amount thrown away and cut CO2 emissions too!〜

↑This month’s Koho Ashiya also includes other features, such as a report on Vissel Kobe’s Movi and friends experiencing emergency response activities! It’s not every day you see a character doing chest compressions〜!
“Koho Ashiya” is delivered to all households and businesses in the city, and is also distributed at public facilities such as stations, government offices, and libraries, as well as some convenience stores and co-ops. Each issue is also available for free on the official Ashiya City website, so why not take this opportunity to give it a thorough read?〜
