It looks like the Sichuan (Chinese) restaurant “汇源楼(かいげんろう)” is planning to open around June near Hanshin Fukae Station, along the Naruo-Mikage Line〜

↑The opening notice was written on cardboard and posted there.

↑The exterior of “汇源楼.” This is where the udon shop “Asahiya” used to be. In addition to the restaurant name, the sign also had the words mapo tofu and “Chinese gourmet food” written on it.
Here’s the map↓
The address is 4-11-35 Fukaekitamachi, Higashinada Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around “汇源楼”

↑It’s in a south-facing, semi-basement spot in the “Iida Building,” which has places like “Kushi Kushi Honpo” and “Curry-kan Bagus Makaan” on the second floor.

↑If you go this way (west), you’ll find places like the izakaya “Maruchan,” “Maruichi Meat Shop,” “Flower Shop Nakanishi,” and “Fukae Keyaki no Ki Small-Scale Nursery School.”

↑If you go the other way (east), there are places like the pachinko parlor “PSA Victory Main Building,” “Yakiniku no Gyuta Honjin Fukae,” “Sugi Pharmacy Hanshin Fukae,” and “Amagasaki Shinkin Bank Fukae Branch.” This is toward Ashiya City.

↑This is what it looks like across the street. There used to be a pachinko parlor here, but it has now been demolished and is an empty lot. Hanshin Fukae Station is beyond the group of buildings behind the vacant lot in the center of the photo.
Finally
Judging from the name and sign, this place has a kind of authentic, true-to-its-roots vibe〜. The mapo tofu on the sign looks spicy too! We’re looking forward to its opening in June!
