Sanjo Kids Festival near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station’s Sanjo Park on May 3 and 4 with festival stalls and danjiri procession

It looks like the “Sanjo Kids Festival” will be held at Sanjo Park near Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station on May 3 (Sat., national holiday) and May 4 (Sun., national holiday)!

When is it?

May 3, 2025 (Sat., national holiday) 13:00-17:30 ※Festival stalls will be open

May 4, 2025 (Sun., national holiday) 10:00-17:00 ※Danjiri parade will be held

Where is it?

Sanjo Park (festival stall venue on the 3rd; in case of rain, it will be held at Sanjo Community Center inside Sanjo Park)

※The danjiri parade on the 4th will start from Sanjo Hachiman Shrine, mainly go around the Sanjocho area, and then pass through Shimizucho, Tsuchicho, Yokoucho, and other areas before returning the danjiri to its storage house.

What will there be?

  • On May 3 (Sat.), there will be festival stalls (in case of rain, only games and similar activities will be held inside Sanjo Community Center from 13:00 to 16:00)
    • Festival games such as ring toss, lottery draws, and yo-yo fishing (200 yen per play)
    • Food and drink booths with yakisoba, fried chicken, frankfurters, alcohol, soft drinks, and more
    • Display area for the Sanjo danjiri and children’s mikoshi
  • On May 4 (Sun.), there will be a danjiri parade
    • It will depart from Sanjo Hachiman Shrine at 10:00, then mainly parade around the Sanjocho area
    • Toward the end of the parade, it will also go outside Sanjocho as it heads toward the danjiri storage house
