Caramel Popcorn and Cheese Popcorn from MAIS DORE Ashiya Opened 4/17 in Front of Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station [Ashitsu Gourmet]

We bought two kinds of popcorn from the popcorn specialty shop “MAIS DORE Ashiya Store”, which opened on April 17 right by Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, at the entrance to the Ashiya Yamate Sun Mall shopping street.

DAILY POPCORN “Caramel” S size 450 yen (tax included) & This Week’s Recommendation “Cheese” S size 400 yen (tax included)

↑The “Cheese” flavor, which was the “This Week’s Recommendation” at the time, was popcorn generously coated with plenty of cheese powder.

↑The salty cheese flavor really comes through, so it would be great as a snack with drinks too! I wonder if this could become a regular flavor.

↑This is the classic “Caramel” flavor. The roasted aroma gives it that movie theater feel.

↑The contrast between the crunchy pieces covered in plenty of caramel and the lighter caramel-coated parts is irresistible. If you alternate between the cheese and caramel, the salty-sweet combo might make you keep eating forever… dangerous!

↑We chose the regular package rather than the gift version, but even this bag is super stylish! For a small get-together or casual drinks, this would totally work as a little gift.

↑And on top of that, there’s a wire tie attached to the opening of the bag, making it really convenient to close it partway through! Such a subtle but thoughtful touch.

↑Of course, the gift boxes are even more stylish! It’s nice that you can choose depending on the occasion.

↑The shop opened right by Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, at the entrance to the Ashiya Yamate Sun Mall shopping street, in the spot formerly occupied by the croffle specialty shop “WAFLA Ashiya Store”. (“WAFLA” and “MAIS DORE” are apparently part of the same group.)
