Construction seems to have started at the former site of “Kamakura Pasta Higashinada” along National Route 2, near Konan-Yamate Station.
↑There hadn’t been much movement since it closed last December, but…

↑At some point, the site was fenced off and construction work had begun.

↑The building was covered with soundproof sheets.

↑The tall roadside sign had been cut off at the base and removed. It feels a little sad.
Here’s the map↓

Area Around the Former “Kamakura Pasta Higashinada” Site

↑It was a roadside restaurant on the south side of National Route 2. The building entrance faces west.

↑If you head this way, east, you’ll find places like “Koekisha Konan-Yamate Hall,” “au Style Konan-Yamate,” “Sozo Gakuen Konan-Yamate School,” and “Selva Konan-Yamate.” This is toward Ashiya.

↑If you head the opposite way, west, you’ll find places like “7-Eleven Kobe Akatorii-mae,” “Life Motoyama,” and “2nd STREET Kobe Higashinada.”

↑Across the street are places like “Abe Internal Medicine & Cardiology” and “Moriminamicho Sakura Pharmacy.”
In Closing
It’s a fairly substantial building, so I wondered if something might open there using the existing structure as-is. But it looks like some pretty large-scale work may be starting… Will it be demolished? Extensively renovated? Will the next tenant be another restaurant? A retail shop? Or maybe an apartment building? We’ll keep you updated as soon as we find out more.
