Henri Charpentier, a patisserie with its main store in Ashiya, has released a Valentine’s Day limited-edition package of chocolate financiers! So we went to cover it at the Ashiya Main Store in Kōkōchō〜!!

Henri Charpentier’s “Financier au Chocolat” and Various Chocolate Sweets
For this interview, they specially made us a dessert using freshly baked “Financier au Chocolat”!
↑Believe it or not, we got to watch the pâtissier make the financiers right in front of us〜! The professional technique was incredible!
↑The freshly baked financiers had a crisp, fragrant surface and were fluffy inside! Apparently, they even developed a special chocolate just for these financiers, giving them a rich cacao aroma you can really taste〜!
↑Since it was a special dessert, we tried eating it with ice cream on top… now that’s a perfect pairing! So good〜!
↑The new Valentine’s limited-edition package features a gold lace pattern on a white background! It’s so refined and elegant, and it looks like something anyone would be happy to receive〜!
↑And on top of that, we even got to sample a sweet planned to be served at the “Kobe Luminarie” venue: a strawberry sauce fountain × financier treat〜!
↑The pâtissier dipped a plain financier into the strawberry sauce fountain…
↑A financier generously fondue-coated in rich, melty strawberry sauce—irresistible〜!! The sweet-tart strawberry pairs perfectly with the fragrant almond-and-butter financier〜!
Apparently, there will also be a cheese sauce fountain at the Luminarie venue. You won’t want to miss it!
↑We also got to try new products from their sister brand “C3”: “Baked Tiramisu White Chocolat” and “Cacao Berry Witch”!
↑Both the packaging and the sweets inside are super cute! And the flavor is seriously authentic! Of course, they’re individually wrapped too, which makes them perfect when you want to hand out lots of treats〜
