Near Hanshin Uchide Station, inside the Uchide Arcade Shopping Street, the taiyaki specialty shop “幸せの黄金鯛焼き 芦屋打出店” opened on January 10〜

↑I went in the afternoon on the second day after opening, and there was already a line〜. They’re running a campaign until Sunday, January 26 where you get 1 free taiyaki when you buy 5, so it looked like quite a few people were there for that.

↑Their signature item is taiyaki filled with “golden an,” made with Anno sweet potatoes from Tanegashima.

↑In addition to the simple “golden an” taiyaki, they also have flavors like “custard,” “tsubu-an” (chunky sweet red bean paste), and “chocolate.” Every taiyaki includes “golden an.” Getting to enjoy two flavors at once feels like a great deal〜!

↑Besides regular taiyaki batter, they also apparently have “croissant taiyaki” made with Danish pastry sheets, but they were already sold out at the time! Super popular〜

↑Here’s the exterior, taken during a brief moment when the line cleared. It opened at the south end of the shopping arcade〜

The address is 5-13 Wakamiya-cho, Ashiya, Hyogo Prefecture.
Menu at “幸せの黄金鯛焼き 芦屋打出店”

↑Regular taiyaki is 230 yen including tax, and croissant taiyaki is 340 yen including tax.

↑The “golden an” option contains only Anno sweet potato golden an, while the other variations include both golden an and the additional filling. Besides taiyaki, they also sell “torotoro warabi mochi.”

↑The “croissant taiyaki” is made with buttery Danish pastry dough. It comes in golden an, tsubu-an, custard, and chocolate variations.

Final Thoughts

I’m sure many people are happy to have a taiyaki shop where they can casually pick some up in the shopping street〜. We’ll share a report after actually trying the freshly made taiyaki later in “Ashitsuu Gourmet”!
