The distance from Narihira Bridge Police Box to Miyagawa Police Box is about 800m (around a 12-minute walk), while Hama-Ashiya Police Box to Takahama Police Box is about 1.5km (around a 20-minute walk), so depending on where you live, the nearest police box may end up being quite a bit farther away. Both locations are fairly close to Ashiya Police Station, so it seems that if anything happens, residents are being directed there.
