The city emblem at the top of Ashiya City Hall (North Building) has been lit up in purple starting today〜
↑It’s lit up in a pinkish shade of purple.
↑The color is fairly vivid, so it’s easy to spot even from a distance〜

This light-up is being held in conjunction with the “Campaign to Eliminate Violence Against Women” period (November 12–25), and is inspired by the “Purple Ribbon,” the symbol for ending violence against women.
It is meant to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women, and also carries the message to victims: “Please don’t suffer alone. Reach out and talk to someone first.”
↑This time, since it coincides with the early voting period for the Hyogo gubernatorial election, the entrance was not lit up.
↑The lights were turned on from 17:00. If you go earlier in the evening, you can enjoy the contrast between the orange sunset and the purple illumination〜
↑Why not enjoy this special version of City Hall lit up together with the surrounding night view and the moon〜
And we hope it can also be a chance to think about or look into the meaning behind the light-up: “the elimination of all forms of violence against women.”
