I went to try the mixed fried lunch set at “Oiry Oiry,” a bar specializing in fritters and oil-simmered dishes that opened on September 27 just steps from Hanshin Ashiya Station!
“Oiry Oiry” Seafood Mixed Fry Set

“Seafood Mixed Fry Set” 1,100 yen (tax included)
The set comes with mixed fries, salad, soup, rice, and pickles. The fried fish of the day were wild sea bream, bonito, and barracuda~

↑A mix of fried fish and vegetables. I wonder which one is which?

↑What kind of fry could this be?

↑Freshly fried and crispy! Oh wow, it was fluffy white fish! Maybe this is the barracuda?

↑This firm texture feels like bonito!

↑This one is probably the wild sea bream! Since the restaurant is directly run by a fish shop, everything tastes really fresh~

↑Hm? What’s this long, thin one?

↑It was paprika! The vegetables had a nice sweetness too♪

↑Next to the fries, there’s a generous serving of chunky tartar sauce~

↑Add it on top if you like, and it’s even better◎

↑The salad is so hearty it could almost be a main dish on its own! It’s packed with root vegetables, so it feels nice and healthy too~

↑There’s also lemon to squeeze over the fries if you like, plus root vegetable pickles.

↑It was a satisfying set meal with plenty of fried food, but also lots of fish and vegetables, making it feel healthy!
“Oiry Oiry” Menu

↑There are two lunch menu options: the “Seafood Mixed Fry Set” and the “Mackerel Sandwich.” The mackerel sandwich sounds tempting too…!

↑At night, it turns into a standing bar where you can enjoy all kinds of fish and vegetable dishes, including fritters, marinated dishes, carpaccio, and escabeche. Their drink selection seems to focus mainly on wine~
“Oiry Oiry” Shop Information

↑It’s a street-level shop that opened just south of the railroad crossing on the west side of Hanshin Ashiya Station. There’s also a fish shop deli called “Oiry” down the passage on the left side as you face the shop.

↑Inside, there are counter seats only. During lunch there are chairs, and at night it becomes a standing bar without chairs~
