Out of the blue…
We’re looking for “Nishitsu Supporters” to help out with Ashiya Tsushin’s activities!
What We’d Like “Ashitsu Supporters” to Help With
What we’d like to ask “Nishitsu Supporters” to do is:

help take photos to be used in Ashiya Tsushin articles.
More specifically, it’s taking exterior photos of shops that are opening or closing.
This would be more like a volunteer role!
What Kind of Photos Should I Take?
The photos we’d like you to take are of the
shop:
- Front view, wide shot
- Front view, close-up
- Across the street
- Shop and the scenery to the right
- Shop and the scenery to the left
- Other signs, notices about opening or closing, standing signboards, menus, etc.
That’s the idea.

As a general rule, please take photos in landscape orientation.
1. Front View, Wide Shot

Take a photo of the front exterior of the shop from a bit farther back. Ideally, include about one neighboring storefront on each side. We’ll handle any blurring on the Ashitsu side, so no worries.
2. Front View, Close-Up

Take a close-up photo of the shop’s front exterior. The whole shop should fit neatly in the frame. If the road is too narrow and you can’t fit the entire front straight on, it’s OK to shoot from a slight angle.
Across the Street

Take a photo of what’s across from the shop. If there’s a shop or landmark building diagonally across the street, a diagonal shot is fine too.
Shop and the Scenery to the Right

Take a photo showing both the shop and the road in front. Imagine placing the shop in about the left third of the frame. It’s best if the road ahead is clearly visible!
Shop and the Scenery to the Left

Do the same for the opposite direction.
Other: Signs, Notices About Opening or Closing, Standing Signboards, Menus, Etc.

If there are notices, signs, menus, or anything posted outside the shop showing the opening or closing date, it would be great if you could take a close-up photo too!! If there aren’t any notices or anything like that, it’s totally fine to skip this.
The more photos we have, the easier it is to make an article, so we welcome lots of shots!
How Photo Requests Work
- Ashitsu sends a photo request to a supporter
Basically, when Nishitsu gets information about a shop opening or closing within the area you can photograph, we’ll ask you to take photos. - You take the photos
Smartphone photos are totally OK! - Send the photos you took to Ashitsu via LINE
If you’re thinking, “I probably can’t make it this time”, it’s completely OK to casually say no. Actually, we think that kind of relaxed relationship is the easiest for everyone.
When the photos you took are used in an article, we’ll include a note near the top saying, “Information provided by Nickname @ Ashitsu SP.”
Requirements to Become a Supporter
Since we may exchange information with supporters regarding photo requests,
we’d really appreciate it if you’re someone we can contact easily via LINE.
Apply to Become an “Ashitsu Supporter” Here
If you’re thinking, “I’ll do it!”, please fill out the form below, or apply via LINE too! If applying via LINE, all we need is your “nickname, area where you live, and areas where you can take photos”!
