A “Summer Vacation Kids’ Movie Experience” workshop, where children can appear in a movie filmed on location in Ashiya, will apparently be held as part of the “Ashiya International Art Film Festival”〜

Apparently, professional filmmakers will create a movie starring children, and through acting, the program is meant to serve as “acting education” that helps build expressive ability, communication skills, initiative, positivity, judgment, and more〜
The event is supported by Ashiya City and the Ashiya City Board of Education, and participation is free (though a fee of about 300 yen for accident insurance is required).
It’s for children ages 7 to 14, with an application deadline of Tuesday, June 25. Auditions will be held on June 30, and filming is expected to take place in Ashiya in late July. It sounds like it could make for a wonderful summer vacation memory!
The completed film will have its premiere screening at the “Renaissance Classics Ashiya Luna Hall” during the “Ashiya International Art Film Festival”, held on Sunday, September 22 and Monday, September 23 (holiday). There are also plans for a stage greeting by the children who appear in the film! Just like celebrities〜!
