I bought some tea leaves from the long-established tea shop “MUSICA TEA,” which launched its official website and online store on May 10, and enjoyed a tea time at home.
“Ashiya Proud” and “Dojima Breakfast” from MUSICA TEA

“Ashiya Proud” is an original blended tea created to commemorate MUSICA TEA’s first anniversary after relocating from Dojima to Ashiya.
It blends seasonal Nuwara Eliya and Uva teas from Sri Lanka. The first cup is said to offer the delicate aroma and astringency of Nuwara Eliya, while the second cup brings out the strong astringency and depth of Uva.
For the first cup, I enjoyed it straight and savored its gorgeous aroma, reminiscent of Chinese tea.
The second cup definitely has a stronger astringency when you drink it straight.
So I added plenty of milk and had it as milk tea.
The astringency became mellow, and I could really taste the depth that came together with the milk.
“Dojima Breakfast” is a classic English milk tea-style blend based on Assam tea from India.
It brews strong and rich from the very first cup, making it feel perfect for milk tea.
This is the kind of milk tea you’d want to enjoy casually with breakfast or during snack time. I might even prefer drinking a generous amount from a mug rather than a teacup.
“Dojima Breakfast” seems great for everyday tea, while “Ashiya Proud” feels perfect for a special day when you want to slow down a little.
Store Information for MUSICA TEA
The shop selling tea leaves is located about a 10-minute walk from Hanshin Ashiya Station, along National Route 43 on the north side.
There is also an eat-in cafe called “Tea Saloon MUSICA” at the former Miyazukacho Residence in Miyazukacho!
Inside the shop, there were lots of MUSICA TEA tea leaves lined up! You can choose either tins or bags.
Unfortunately, the new “HOUSE BLEND” seemed to be sold out that day.
It’s currently available in the online store, so maybe they have it now if you go…?
The painting on the exterior wall is cute, so this seems like a good spot for a commemorative photo when you visit.
