Since January this year, inside the reopened “Honoka Marche JR Ashiya”, there’s a Korean takeout specialty shop called “Ashiya Seoul Kitchen”. We picked up a whole spread of Korean dishes and had ourselves a Korean food party at home!

“Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu Yakiniku Rice Bowl” 1,026 yen (tax included)
The yakiniku rice bowl made with A4 and A5 rank Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu beef, also sold inside “Honoka Marche,” is prepared in-store after you order, so you can take it home freshly made!
↑ The yakiniku is coated in plenty of sauce with the sweetness of onions, and it goes so well with the pesticide-free rice!

↑ Just like the name says, the japchae is packed with vegetables and Kuroge Wagyu beef. So many ingredients!
↑ The special gimbap has a nice balance of vegetables, egg, and other fillings. It feels healthy!
↑ The samgyeopsal gimbap pairs kimchi and pork perfectly with the rice! This could be addictive.
↑ The yakiniku gimbap has plenty of meaty flavor, so even kids who aren’t big on vegetables might gobble it up!
“Vegetable Buchimgae” 648 yen (tax included)
↑ Dip it in the buchimgae sauce and enjoy! The crisp texture of the chives and the chewy batter are exactly what you want. This is the flavor!
“Gochu Mayo Chicken” 734.4 yen (tax included)
↑ They recommend eating the karaage made with brand-name chicken “Tajima-dori”, fried in rice oil, with plenty of their special gochu mayo sauce. The gochu mayo sauce looks super spicy, but it’s surprisingly sweet, tangy, and addictive!

“Tteok Soup Made with Chicken Bone Broth” 756 yen (tax included)
↑ The yukgaejang soup looks really spicy! But the dishes that looked spicy so far haven’t been that hot, so maybe it’ll be fine?
↑ Mmm! As expected, it’s more umami than heat… wait…? Oh! The spice really kicks in afterward!!! This one is recommended for people who love spicy food!
↑ The tteok soup, filled with lots of Korean rice cakes called “tteok,” has such a gentle, comforting flavor.

This is an assortment of four kinds of namul and kimchi. It’s always nice to have little side dishes like these! They’d also be great alongside yakiniku at home.

↑ Here you’ll find gimbap, side dishes, and other items that you can take home right away.
↑ Menu items that aren’t displayed on the counter, such as yakiniku rice bowls and soups, are made fresh in the in-store kitchen after you order and can be taken out!
↑ They also carry Korean ingredients and foods such as Korean seaweed, makgeolli, tteok, and corn tea.
↑ In the refrigerated cases at “Honoka Marche,” you’ll find brand-name meats also used at “Ashiya Seoul Kitchen,” including “Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu,” “Tajima-dori,” and “Yonezawa Buta Ichiban Sodachi”!
↑ The shop also has Costco products, imported foods, and amazingly good-value vegetables. It’s fun just browsing around! You might end up wanting to buy all kinds of things while waiting for your order to be ready.
