The benches are brand-new!! They’re gleaming with a glossy coat of orange varnish!!
I often used to sit on these benches and enjoy bento boxes or sweets from nearby shops, so while I’m happy to see them looking so beautiful, I also feel just a tiny bit sad… Thank you for all the memories, old benches…
The other bench farther north has also been replaced with a shiny new one!
Does that mean the benches in the station-front plaza between La Porte’s main building and Mont et Mer have been replaced too…!?
But when I checked, these were still the same old benches. Oh yes, this is what they looked like!
Still, these benches might also be replaced with new ones one by one in the future. I’ll be sure to take one last good look at these benches filled with memories…!
