Welcome to “Ashikon,” a section where stories from readers and Instagrammers about “things they did in Ashiya” become articles. (The name is Ashikon, but it has absolutely nothing to do with matchmaking or anything like that.)
An Instagrammer sent us photos of the “Hitsumabushi” at “戎家(えびすや),” located a 10-minute walk from Hanshin Ashiya Station♪
Here’s the map↓
The address is 4-10 Maeda-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo♪

The eel here is meltingly tender, fluffy and soft, and it’ll make you smile before you know it.
The sweet sauce and eel are, of course, a perfect match! The charcoal aroma that rises with every bite is also irresistible.
For your second serving, add condiments; for the third, pour on the dashi broth… You can enjoy it again and again!

↑It’s close to all three stations: JR Ashiya Station, Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station, and Hanshin Ashiya Station
The restaurant has a calm atmosphere where you can relax and savor the eel to your heart’s content♪
Not only the eel, but the sushi is also excellent, so be sure to give it a try sometime~
