As specific examples, it seems that shops can register if they are taking steps such as installing ramps and handrails, offering written communication, and providing assistance with guidance and directions. Not only shops, but hospitals and business offices can apparently register too.
Once registered, a shop’s photos and information can be posted on the Instagram account “ASHIYA Everyone-Friendly Shops” and on the Ashiya City website (currently in preparation).
There is also a program that subsidizes part of the costs for shops that want to start “initiatives friendly to people with disabilities.”
↑Exterior of Ashiya City Hall. At the City Hall cafe “ASHIYA Cafe,” people with disabilities work as staff, and miscellaneous goods, sweets, and other items made at disability welfare service offices are also sold.
