We Tried Seven-Eleven’s “In-Store-Made Smoothie”

↑ We actually bought and tried an “in-store-made smoothie” at the Ashiya Uchide Station South store

“In-Store-Made Strawberry Banana Soy Smoothie” 300.24 yen (tax included)
They’re kept in a freezer with a door inside the store, so you take one to the register, pay for it, and then use the dedicated machine yourself to make it.

↑ The cup is packed with chunks of frozen fruit! Honestly, it even looks tasty just like this.

↑ Peel off the plastic lid, set it in the dedicated machine, press the button, and it’s ready in just over a minute! Straws and plastic lids were placed next to the machine.
Since it’s full of fruit, I thought it might be thick and heavy, but probably thanks to ingredients like soy milk, honey, and apple cider vinegar, it’s really easy to drink! It went down smoothly even on a lingering hot late-summer day.
Final Thoughts
You can see the fruit being mixed right there, which is kind of exciting, and kids would probably enjoy it too.
There are four smoothie varieties in total, and you can also check how to make them and find participating stores on Seven-Eleven’s special smoothie page.
