It looks like a 4-story apartment building is going to be built in Higashiyamacho, along Miyagawa Keyaki-dori, diagonally across from “Ikari Ashiya Store.”

↑A construction plan sign has been posted. It will be a 4-story reinforced concrete apartment building, with construction scheduled from August 1 through July 15 of next year.

↑Here’s the planned construction site. Since it’s on the corner of a fairly large intersection, it’s a very noticeable location.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 5-15 Higashiyamacho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around the Planned Apartment Site

↑If you go this way west, you’ll find places like “Seven-Eleven Ashiya Higashiyamacho Store,” “Grand Food Hall Ashiya,” and “Ashiyaken Higashiyama Garden Store.”

↑If you go the opposite way east, there are places like “Iwaya Park” and “Pizza Liberte.”

↑If you go this way north along Miyagawa Keyaki-dori, you’ll find places like “Chinese Cuisine HATSU,” the bakery “Kome Pantry,” the Japanese restaurant “Seishuhakugengojou,” and “Honoka no Kajitsu.”

↑If you go the opposite way south, there are places like “Ashiya Higashiyama Post Office,” “Ashiya Yakiniku Yui,” “Imo Kuri Nankin ASHIYA,” and “Big Beans Ashiya Store.”

↑Diagonally across the street is the supermarket “Ikari Ashiya Store.”
Final Thoughts
Apartments are being built one after another along major roads like the Naruo-Mikage Line and National Route 2. Because of landscape ordinances, high-rise apartments won’t be built, but the scenery still looks like it’s going to change quite a bit.
