It looks like a wild boar was spotted yesterday, September 6, at around 20:25 on a street near Nishikura-cho in the Uchide area!

It was reportedly 40 to 50 centimeters long, so since it was on the smaller side, it may still be a juvenile. Even if it’s small, it’s still a wild boar, so be careful not to get attacked.
Here is a map of Nishikura-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture↓
↑It’s the area south of National Route 43, north of the Rinko Line, and just east of the Miyagawa River.
This is a southern part of the city that’s relatively far from the mountains, so it didn’t really seem like a place where you’d expect wild boars… Scary stuff.

↑The bank on the left side of this photo is Nishikura-cho. It’s an area made up mostly of residential neighborhoods.
Nearby, there are schools such as Miyagawa Elementary School, as well as Hanshin Uchide Station, which is used by many people. If you spot a wild boar, do not approach it under any circumstances, and quietly leave the area. And of course, never feed it!
