It looks like a new izakaya is scheduled to open on Friday, September 1, at the former site of “Cafe DD” in Omasu-cho, near Hanshin Ashiya Station!
(This information was provided by Mizukingu. Thank you!)

↑ A notice announcing the opening was posted on the door. It says, “A place with delicious drinks and delicious (?) snacks.”

↑ The exterior of the future location. This space was previously occupied by “Cafe DD,” which served Western-style dishes and authentic Asian lunches.
Here’s the map↓
The address is 1F, 5-20 Omasu-cho, Ashiya, Hyogo.
What’s Near the Future Izakaya

↑ Head this way (south), and you’ll pass the former site of “Ashiya Murakami,” a tofu shop that closed this March, as well as “Ashiya Shisha,” a shisha and espresso café that opened this July, before reaching the Naruo-Mikage Line.

↑ Head this way (west), and you’ll reach Ashiya Hondori.

↑ Head in the opposite direction (east), and you’ll find “Nikuyaki Sakaba Gyūinbashoku Ashiya Honten” just across the street, followed by “Pâtisserie Étonné” and “Ashiya Monolith,” before reaching Sanpachi-dori.
In Closing
Although it’s located along a narrow alley, this is a lively area that has recently seen many shops open and close. Hopefully, the new establishment will bring even more energy to the neighborhood!
Mizukingu, thank you very much for the tip!!
