It looks like a new single-story steel-frame shop is going to be built right in front of the south exit of JR Ashiya Station.

↑The planned construction site. A sign with the construction plan had been put up on the corner.

↑It will be a single-story steel-frame shop, with construction scheduled from September 1 to November 29. The owner, “Kamoya Co., Ltd.,” appears to be a real estate brokerage company.
Here’s the map↓
The address is around 1-16 and 1-17 Narihira-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around the Planned New Shop Site

↑It’s right in front of the south exit of JR Ashiya Station, on a site that previously had private homes, the “Rapo 2” apartment building, a bicycle parking lot, and other facilities.

↑If you head this way (east), you’ll find places like “Chidoriya Soke Ashiya,” “bean to bar chocolate & cafe ICHIJI,” and “Ikari JR Ashiya.”

↑If you head the opposite way (west), you’ll find places like the prepared food shop “Ara ni Kokoro,” “Pâtisserie La Gare by Louis Robuchon,” and “French Kushiage & Charcoal Grill BEIGNET Ashiya.”

↑Across the street is the south exit of JR Ashiya Station.
Finally
Construction is also taking place here as part of the redevelopment project on the south side of JR Ashiya Station, so it seems likely that the shop will be built on land left over after the road is widened.
Even though part of the site will become a road, it still looks like it could be a fairly spacious shop. Wonder what kind of store it’ll be?
