It looks like the 45th Ashiya Summer Carnival has officially been confirmed for Saturday, July 22 this year!

The event will be held at Ashiya City General Park, Shio-Ashiya Green Space, and Shio-Ashiya Beach.

The “Civic Plaza,” which had been canceled to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases, is making a comeback this year!
However, entry will not be open to everyone on the day. From a safety management standpoint, entry will be by reservation only, with limited capacity. Reservations are expected to open in mid-June, so be sure to keep an eye on the official website!
Also, performers are currently being recruited for the Civic Stage, which will be set up in the Civic Plaza this year. The deadline is June 20, but applications may close once a certain number has been reached, so don’t wait too long!

Sponsor viewing seats will be split into east and west areas, with a new entry system

This year, only people with either a “Sponsor Viewing Seat Ticket” or a “Civic Plaza Admission Ticket” will be able to attend.
Starting this year, sponsor viewing seats will be divided into two areas, east and west, and visitors will enter through designated gates depending on their ticket type. Some seat types even come with course meals or bento boxes, so you can enjoy the fireworks in a more luxurious way〜
Viewing seat sales are scheduled to begin in late April, so this is another one to keep an eye on!

The “Cleanup Operation” will be held the day after the fireworks, on Sunday, July 23, from 8:00 to 12:00.
The locations will be the same: Ashiya City General Park, Shio-Ashiya Green Space, and Shio-Ashiya Beach. After the festival, let’s help keep the town clean!
