“Universal Kawaii,” an event where visitors can shop for universal-design accessories, clothing, nail products, and more, as well as enjoy experiences such as hair and makeup, will reportedly be held on Sunday, May 7 at the Ashiya Civic Activity Center “Lead Ashiya” in Kimmitsucho!

The event’s theme is “Kawaii ✖️ Fashion from Ashiya Can Save the World.” It will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and admission is free!

In addition to assistive devices such as hearing aids and wheelchairs and caregiving and rehabilitation products, there will also be booths offering accessories that celebrate the individuality of people with disabilities, everyday items such as detergents and cookware, beauty products including wigs and water-based nail polish, as well as barrier-free esthetic salons and hair salons!
There will also be food booths, including “Miyuki Delica” with its Glover Pork, “Yakitate Crepe minon,” and the doughnut specialty shop “Andy”! Dine-in seating will be available, so you can take a break, grab something to eat, and explore the booths at your leisure.
There will also be consultation booths run by the city’s Disability Welfare Division and Senior Citizens’ Life Support Center, making this a good opportunity to ask about anything you may not usually have the chance to discuss.
