Ashiya Sakura Festival to Return Along Ashiya River on Sunday April 2 for the First Time in 4 Years

It looks like the “35th Ashiya Sakura Festival” will be held along the east-side road by the Ashiya River, between Taisho Bridge and Narihira Bridge on National Route 2, on Sunday, April 2, from 10:00 to 18:30!

Since it was canceled from 2020 to 2022 to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, this will be its first time back in four years.

Until 2019, the festival was held over two days, but this year it seems it will be held for one day only.

Details about the event have not been released yet, but will there be stages, festival stalls, illuminations, and other features like before? Since it seems to be a scaled-down version, it is not clear how much they will be able to do, but hopefully it will be lively!

The address is around 1 Matsunouchicho to around 8 Narihira-cho, Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, between Taisho Bridge and Narihira Bridge on National Route 2.
