It looks like the funeral hall “Cleri Ashiya Hall”, located along the Ashiya River near Hanshin Ashiya Station, will be holding its “3rd Doll Memorial Service” on Monday, February 20.
Quoted from the Cleri official website
The fee is free. Reception will be from 9:30 to 12:00 (strictly observed). Dolls, stuffed animals, and similar items will be accepted at the hall entrance, after which a Buddhist memorial service will be held. (To prevent infection, entry into the hall and attendance at the sutra chanting are not allowed.)
If you’ve been wanting to part with dolls or stuffed animals but don’t feel right throwing them away as trash, this seems like a good opportunity.
